As per a report by Omdia, during the third quarter of 2025, smartphone shipments across the Latin American region witnessed a 1% year-on-year increase, hitting 35.2 million units. This figure represents the highest quarterly shipment volume the region has seen since the fourth quarter of 2015. Among the various brands, Samsung emerged as the leader, shipping 11.6 million units and securing a 33% market share. Xiaomi followed in second place, with 6.3 million units shipped and an 18% market share. Motorola, which has been experiencing a decline for six consecutive quarters, ranked third, though it saw an 11% year-on-year decrease in shipments this quarter. Honor secured the fourth position, notching up record-high shipments for three consecutive quarters, reaching 2.9 million units. Meanwhile, Transsion, despite entering the top five, experienced a 19% year-on-year decrease in shipments.
