On December 3, reports from South Korean media outlets, corroborated by multiple industry sources, revealed that Apple's upcoming iPhone 17e, slated for release in the first half of next year, will retain the same 6.1-inch OLED display used in the iPhone 16e. However, this iteration will boast even slimmer bezels and feature an upgraded Dynamic Island design. This marks a significant shift, as Apple's smartphones will bid a complete farewell to the traditional notch screen. BOE has been chosen as the primary supplier of OLED panels for the iPhone 17e. Samsung Display and LG Display will also be involved in the supply chain, but BOE is set to secure the lion's share of the orders.
