Apple is gearing up to introduce a new budget-friendly option, the iPhone 17e, in the early part of next year. This upcoming model will persist in utilizing the OLED display panel that was first featured in the iPhone 14. However, it will sport a refreshed look with narrower screen bezels. According to South Korean media outlet The Elec, which cited sources within the supply chain, BOE will be the primary supplier of OLED panels for the iPhone 17e. Samsung Display and LG Display will handle the remaining supply. Notably, BOE has already established itself as the largest screen supplier for the iPhone 16e, and it will maintain its crucial role in providing panel support for this new-generation model.
