On November 26, the State Administration for Market Regulation organized a compliance guidance session focused on anti-unfair competition for mobile phone manufacturers and mobile application platform operators in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. During the session, several representative cases of unfair competition within the mobile phone industry were presented. The meeting highlighted that mobile phones and mobile applications, as crucial elements of the digital economy, are currently encountering significant challenges related to irrational competitive practices. Some companies are exploiting their technological, data, and platform rule advantages to engage in activities such as traffic hijacking, forced redirection, and malicious incompatibility. These actions not only infringe upon the rights and interests of other industry operators and consumers but also disrupt the fair competition environment in the market.
