Over recent years, the Singaporean government has expressed its desire for Apple and Google to work jointly in order to curb the proliferation of these deceptive messages. The Ministry of Home Affairs in Singapore has announced that the police have directed both Apple and Google to implement measures that prevent criminals from dispatching messages that mimic those of government agencies via the iMessage and Google Messages platforms.
