Lately, rumors have been swirling that Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, might reveal his intention to retire and kick off a succession plan prior to the 2026 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Yet, these reports remain unverified, and Cook himself has no plans to retire at that time. Earlier, the Financial Times speculated that Apple could unveil a strategy for John Ternus, Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, to take over from Cook in early 2026. While it's conceivable that Cook and other members of the executive team might retire within the next five years, their actual departure still appears to be a long way off. Since assuming the role of CEO in 2011, Cook has been at the helm of Apple for 14 years. During his tenure, the company's market value has skyrocketed from $350 billion to a staggering $4 trillion. At present, Apple is in the midst of a management overhaul. Besides Cook, a number of other senior executives are anticipated to depart or retire next year, signaling the most significant personnel shake-up at Apple in over ten years.
