On November 20, Bernstein analysts stated in a report that the current upward cycle of memory chips is expected to squeeze the camera budgets for low-end Android smartphones next year, but will have little impact on flagship Android models and the Apple supply chain. After two consecutive years of growth, the Android smartphone market may level off next year. Smartphone manufacturers need to balance product configurations, sales volumes, and profitability for themselves and their suppliers. For low-end models, manufacturers are renegotiating prices, and upgrades to camera specifications may be delayed, but a sector-wide downgrade trend like that seen in 2022 is not anticipated.
