Recently, a significant number of internet users have reported that a variety of NetEase games available on OPPO's channel platform have ceased operations. OPPO's customer support team clarified that, due to the termination of their partnership with NetEase, there are currently no plans to resume these games, nor are there any updates regarding potential collaborations with other game developers. As far back as November of the previous year, NetEase games had already stopped running on OPPO's channel. By 2025, an even larger number of games have been progressively shut down. Historically, the two companies had engaged in a range of collaborative efforts. At present, NetEase has not released a consolidated statement, and the shutdown notices for individual games have cited adjustments in cooperative operational strategies as the reason. Some industry analysts propose that this situation may be linked to the conventional Android channel's "high revenue-sharing" structure prevalent in the gaming sector. Game developers like NetEase are striving to diminish their dependence on traditional Android channels in an effort to enhance their profit margins. Furthermore, NetEase's financial report for the second quarter of 2025 reveals that, although its net revenue and net revenue from games and related value-added services have witnessed a year-on-year increase, its net profit has experienced a decline. Meanwhile, research and development expenditures have remained comparable to those of the preceding quarter and the same period in the previous year.
