Recently, the domestic release of the iPhone Air made its official debut, priced starting at 7,999 yuan. This launch signifies the official entrance of China's smartphone market into the eSIM era. Boasting a mere weight of 165 grams and a slender thickness of 5.6 millimeters, this model stands as the thinnest and lightest iPhone in Apple's storied history, providing a holding experience that is almost imperceptible.

The iPhone Air fully embraces eSIM technology, doing away with the physical SIM card slot. It supports up to two eSIM numbers, with activation necessitating in-person ID verification. All three major carriers in China—China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom—offer eSIM support, extending coverage to 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities nationwide.

The device comes equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED screen, capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and featuring a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It sports a 48-megapixel main rear camera. Under the hood, it is powered by the A19 Pro chip and Apple's self-developed C1X baseband.
