Apple has just rolled out the fourth beta versions of iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and macOS 26.1, bringing with them a host of new features designed to enhance the personalization of system experiences. One of the standout additions is a fresh option within the system settings: the 'Liquid Glass Transparency Adjustment'.
On their iPhones or iPads, users can now tailor the transparency of the Liquid Glass effect by navigating to 'Settings - Display & Brightness'. Similarly, Mac users can make these adjustments in 'System Settings - Appearance'.
This new setting offers two distinct modes. Users can opt for the 'Clear' mode to preserve a transparent look, or they can select the 'Transparency' mode. The latter increases the opacity of the interface, thereby enhancing the readability of text.
Once set, this configuration applies universally across the system and seamlessly adapts to third-party apps that are already compatible with the Liquid Glass style. This ensures a consistent and unified visual experience throughout the user's digital environment.
