On October 20, a report issued by the International Data Corporation (IDC) revealed that in the first half of 2025, global shipments of smart glasses (also known as AI glasses) soared to 4.065 million units, marking a significant year-on-year surge of 64.2%. Driven by continuous innovation in product designs and the expanding range of application scenarios, smart glasses are poised to emerge as a pivotal gateway for next-generation human-machine interaction, infusing the consumer electronics market with fresh growth impetus. IDC forecasts that by 2029, global shipments of smart glasses will surpass 40 million units, with the Chinese market's share witnessing a steady rise. The five-year compound annual growth rate from 2024 to 2029 is projected to hit 55.6%, positioning China as the global leader in growth rate.
