The domestic version of the iPhone Air (Model A3518) available in China will feature eSIM rapid switching capability. Once the eSIM is activated, users can seamlessly transfer their eSIM to a new device through simple operations on the device itself during future upgrades, eliminating the necessity of visiting a carrier's physical store. Apple's official website has made it clear that only the domestic version of the iPhone Air sold in China is compatible with eSIM for mainland Chinese carriers. Other iPhone models, including those purchased abroad, are not able to have eSIM profile files from domestic carriers installed.
