CAICT: In July, Domestic Mobile Phone Shipments Hit 28.093 Million Units, Marking a 16.1% YoY Increase

In July 2025, the volume of domestic mobile phone shipments soared to 28.093 million units, representing a robust year-on-year (YoY) growth of 16.1%. Specifically, shipments of 5G mobile phones reached 22.621 million units, experiencing a 9.5% YoY rise and constituting 80.5% of the total mobile phone shipments during the same period. Over the span from January to July 2025, the cumulative domestic mobile phone shipments amounted to 169 million units, showing a slight 1.1% YoY decline. Meanwhile, cumulative 5G mobile phone shipments during this period stood at 143 million units, down by 1.2% YoY, yet still accounting for a substantial 84.7% of the overall mobile phone shipments.
