MSI has released a statement to clear up the rumors swirling around the "presence of GeForce RTX 5090 in the Chinese market." MSI emphasized that the company has never engaged in the sale or distribution of this product via official channels in mainland China. It further clarified that the related products currently making the rounds in the market are unauthorized parallel imports, commonly known as "grey - market products," and have no connection to MSI's sales policies.
At present, this product is exclusively available in the Americas, Europe, and certain Asia - Pacific regions. In the Chinese market, only two models that meet regulatory standards are being offered. The unauthorized products mainly come from overseas retail markets. Since they are not part of MSI's official supply chain, they do not fall under MSI's quality control measures or warranty coverage.
MSI is reminding consumers that making purchases through unofficial channels comes with inherent risks. The company strongly encourages consumers to buy products from authorized channels. In the meantime, MSI is calling on the media and online communities to ensure the accuracy of their information. MSI also stated that it will enhance its management efforts and take steps to prevent the circulation of unauthorized products in the future, all in an effort to safeguard consumer rights.
