NVIDIA graphics cards have extensively incorporated the 12V-2x6 16-pin power connector into their designs. In contrast, AMD has not yet officially adopted this connector. Currently, only non-reference graphics cards from manufacturers such as ASRock and Sapphire, along with ASUS's R9700 professional-grade card, feature this particular connector.
However, this August witnessed an unfortunate incident involving the ASRock RX 9070 XT Taichi graphics card, where the connector experienced burnout, resulting in damage to two of its pins. The user pointed out that while their 850W power supply may not be the absolute pinnacle of performance, it should nonetheless be capable of delivering sufficient power. Considering that the graphics card's power consumption generally falls within the range of 300-340W, the user expressed skepticism that even switching to a different power supply would necessarily avert such burnout issues.
