This year, Xiaomi HyperOS 3 has achieved remarkable advancements, significantly outperforming its predecessor in terms of fluidity and functionality. A multitude of users are keen to make the upgrade. Wang Le, the Director of the Application Software Department at Xiaomi, elucidated the OTA (Over-The-Air) update logic. This logic employs a grayscale deployment approach that harmonizes prioritized manual detection with a random rollout mechanism. Essentially, users who are proactive in checking for updates will be the first to receive the new system, while those who are a bit more laid-back can still manually initiate an update check after a brief hiatus of 1-2 days, since repeatedly checking won't yield results any sooner.

Prior to National Day, the actual tally of users who had upgraded to the HyperOS 3 Beta version soared past 1.2 million, a staggering tenfold increase over the initial projection. The third batch of compatible device models has been unveiled, and the official version rollout for the inaugural batch of existing models is slated to commence on October 15th. HyperOS 3 leverages a proprietary, in-house-developed kernel technology platform, which boosts task execution efficiency by a notable 19%. Additionally, it facilitates the seamless coexistence of three distinct "islands" (a term likely referring to different functional areas or interfaces), enabling the simultaneous display of diverse information types.
