Through meticulous hardware optimization, NPUs outperform traditional CPUs and GPUs in terms of efficiency and power consumption when handling AI tasks. This remarkable efficiency enables these devices to offer all-day battery life, a significant advantage for users on the go.

The inaugural batch of Copilot+ PCs encompasses the Microsoft Surface as well as over 20 models from renowned manufacturers like Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Among these are the Acer Swift 14 AI, Dell XPS 13, and Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x. These devices made their official debut on June 18, 2024.

At the heart of these Copilot+ PCs lie a host of core AI features. These include content recall, which allows users to effortlessly retrieve information; image generation, enabling the creation of stunning visuals; real-time subtitle translation, facilitating seamless communication across languages; and enhanced Windows Studio effects, which elevate the multimedia experience. Notably, all data processing for these features occurs locally, ensuring privacy and security throughout the process.
