Amazon has temporarily halted its drone delivery service in the West Valley area of the Phoenix metropolitan region in Arizona. This decision comes after an unfortunate incident on Wednesday at around 10 a.m. local time, when two MK30 delivery drones collided with cranes in Tolleson City. The crash site was situated roughly two miles from the Amazon distribution center, which functions as the launch and landing hub for these drones. An Amazon spokesperson mentioned that the company is currently implementing software enhancements for the drones. Once these updates are finalized and receive approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Amazon will resume its drone delivery services.
