On the 25th, in reaction to Apple Inc.'s recent call for the repeal of the EU's Digital Markets Act, Renier, a spokesperson for the European Commission, issued a resolute response. He highlighted that since the act's implementation, Apple has persistently cast doubts on the legislation and declined the European Commission's proactive efforts to aid its compliance with the act. Renier emphasized that another investigation into Apple is still in progress, with "all options remaining open." Notably, Apple had previously been slapped with a 500-million-euro fine for breaching relevant provisions of the act. On the 24th, Apple released a statement, urging the EU to repeal the act and introduce "legislation that is more tailored to its purpose."
