The Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with eight other governmental departments, has collectively released the "Guidelines on Vigorously Promoting Digital Consumption and Enhancing Quality of Life in the Digital Age." This initiative aims to refine the express logistics delivery framework and foster the development of intelligent logistics systems. It advocates for eligible regions to pioneer the use of drones for feeder transport and final-mile delivery services, while also emphasizing the need to expedite the establishment of comprehensive standards governing autonomous delivery vehicles and drones. Concurrently, there will be a concerted effort to bolster the infrastructure of delivery endpoints, including smart food pickup lockers and express parcel lockers, with support extended across research and development, product approval processes, and trial implementations. Furthermore, the guidelines encourage the modernization of e-commerce public service centers at the county level and the digital transformation of service outlets spanning counties, townships, and villages. Platforms are guided to enhance their integrated fulfillment capabilities and collaborate with brick-and-mortar stores to elevate the digital and intelligent standards of final-mile delivery services.
