Details regarding the configuration of Apple's iPhone 17 series have surfaced in a document from a South Korean carrier, shedding light on the upgrades prior to the much-anticipated September launch event. This year, Apple's iPhone 17 lineup is set to include the standard iPhone 17, the ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air, along with the more premium iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models.
Among the iPhone 17 series, the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max will see a memory boost to 12GB, while the base model, the iPhone 17, will retain its 8GB of memory. When it comes to storage, the standard iPhone 17 will start at 128GB and offer upgrades to 256GB and 512GB. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max will see their base storage capacity jump to 256GB, with the option to upgrade to 512GB and 1TB.
The entire iPhone 17 series will be powered by the A19 chip, with the Pro and Pro Max variants featuring the even more robust A19 Pro chip. Moving on to the screen, the standard iPhone 17's display will see an increase from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches and, for the first time, support a 120Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 17 Air will boast a 6.6-inch screen with a 120Hz high refresh rate and an incredibly slim profile of just 5.5mm. The Pro and Pro Max models will sport high-refresh-rate screens measuring 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively.
In terms of camera capabilities, the front camera of the iPhone 17 series will be upgraded to 24 megapixels, while the rear camera will undergo a complete upgrade to 48 megapixels. The Pro models will further enhance their optical zoom capabilities and image resolution through a redesigned rectangular camera array, complemented by optimized software algorithms.
