Starting from June, several regions have temporarily halted the national subsidy program for consumer goods trade-ins due to budgetary constraints encountered in the first half of the year. This development has impacted consumers planning to purchase home appliances, mobile phones, digital products, and other items. According to CCTV Finance, the Ministry of Finance has recently collaborated with the National Development and Reform Commission to allocate funds for each region in 2025. As part of this initiative, the third batch of ultra-long-term special treasury bonds amounting to 69 billion yuan has been issued to bolster the trade-in program for consumer goods. The remaining funds are scheduled for release in October. This action is intended to sustain the ongoing implementation of the policy and address the needs of consumers.
