On July 22, US stock market indexes closed with mixed results, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped marginally by 0.04%, while the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 0.38% and the S&P 500 Index gained 0.14%. The precious metals and metal mining sector shone brightly, with Century Aluminum surging over 9% and Hecla Mining climbing more than 4%. In the technology sector, the majority of popular stocks advanced, with Google surging over 2% and Meta, Broadcom, and Amazon all rising more than 1%. Conversely, the oil and gas and lithium battery sectors lagged behind, with Houston Energy plunging over 10% and U.S. Energy also declining by more than 4%.
