The Dalian region within the Liaoning Free Trade Zone has triumphantly concluded Northeast China's inaugural ship-to-ship bunkering operation utilizing domestically produced bonded green methanol fuel. During this pioneering endeavor, 500 tons of green methanol were transferred from China's pioneering methanol fuel bunkering vessel to the maiden methanol dual-fuel container ship. This groundbreaking operation is anticipated to significantly cut carbon dioxide emissions by over 800 tons. This eco-friendly methanol boasts independently developed technology, leveraging raw materials sourced from waste tires and agricultural byproducts in Inner Mongolia, Daqing, Heilongjiang, and other regions, and has garnered international recognition for its sustainability and carbon footprint reduction. This achievement positions Dalian Port among the elite few globally capable of supplying a diverse array of alternative fuels. Concurrently, Northeast China is vigorously pursuing its ambition to emerge as a pivotal production hub for global green marine fuels.
