Over two years ago, Microsoft embarked on a bold advertising campaign by placing prominent ads on Google Chrome's official website. When visitors attempted to download the globally renowned browser, they were greeted by a large Edge banner prominently displayed at the top of the page. This banner lured users into sticking with Edge by emphasizing that it "runs on the same technology as Chrome." However, recent observations suggest that Microsoft has now ceased these potentially disruptive ads, at least for a portion of its audience.
