Fedora 43 is set to introduce a proposal that will discontinue support for UEFI installations on MBR partitioned disks in its Anaconda installer for x86_64 systems. Consequently, all Fedora installations leveraging UEFI in x86 environments will be required to adopt the GPT partition table. While this change may necessitate adjustments to some users' installation routines, the GPT partition table boasts enhanced reliability, larger partition size limits, and is better aligned with contemporary computing demands.
