The independently developed 3D-printed minimalist lightweight micro turbojet engine by China's AECC Hunan Power Machinery Research Institute has triumphantly concluded its maiden flight verification in Inner Mongolia. This engine stands as the first domestically produced additive manufacturing turbojet engine in the 160 kg thrust class to undergo successful flight testing. Leveraging advanced multidisciplinary topology optimization technology, it achieves a groundbreaking integration of design and manufacturing processes, thereby bridging a significant gap in domestic whole-machine engineering applications within this sector. The flight verification was meticulously executed in accordance with the predefined plan, achieving a maximum altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level, which underscores the engine's reliability and stability in an actual flight environment.
