In the evening of June 30, Japan Airlines Flight 8696, operated by ANA and utilizing a Boeing 738 aircraft, was forced to make an emergency landing at Osaka Kansai Airport en route from Shanghai to Tokyo Narita due to a mechanical malfunction. According to the Osaka Aviation Bureau of Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism, the flight encountered a "pressurization system failure" alarm mid-air, suggesting a potential cabin depressurization. The pilots promptly declared an emergency and redirected the aircraft to ensure a safe landing. All 191 passengers and crew members on board were confirmed to be safe and without injury.
