Neuralink, the brainchild of Elon Musk, has recently unveiled significant advancements and future visions for its pioneering brain-computer interface technology. Currently, seven individuals have successfully undergone the implantation of the N1 device. Neuralink's roadmap outlines ambitious milestones, including the aim to achieve speech cortex implantation by 2025, enabling the decoding of silent, "intended speech." By 2026, the company intends to expand the number of electrodes to 3,000 and initiate the "blind vision" project, which seeks to restore vision to the blind through the use of electrical signals.
