On June 28, the world's pioneering pure ammonia-fueled internal combustion engine demonstration vessel, 'Anhui', successfully concluded its inaugural voyage in Chaohu, Hefei, Anhui Province. This milestone signifies a substantial advancement in the industrial application of ammonia fuel within the maritime sector. Equipped with a high-speed gas internal combustion generator set of 200kW and a dual-propulsion motor system, the vessel has demonstrated stable combustion of pure ammonia fuel, achieving near-zero carbon dioxide emissions and effective regulation of nitrogen oxides. This groundbreaking achievement validates the potential of ammonia-hydrogen blended fuel and is poised to propel China's progress towards achieving its 'dual carbon' objectives.
