The initial suite of seven global energy interconnection standards has been officially launched in Beijing, encompassing crucial areas like new power system planning, clean energy resource evaluation, new energy grid integration, and cross-border power grid interconnection. Compiled collaboratively by approximately 160 experts from nine countries and regions, these standards were ratified by a vote among 26 enterprises and institutions spanning 11 nations. These standards represent a fusion of energy and power technological advancements and innovative approaches from China and other nations, effectively addressing gaps in existing international standards. They hold significant value in accelerating the development of the global energy interconnection and fostering international cooperation in the energy transition.
