Despite previous signals from the French Ministry of Finance suggesting its suspension, French President Macron has urged the government to persist with the housing renovation subsidy program, "MaPrimeRénov." This initiative is designed to enhance the energy efficiency of homes and offer financial assistance to homeowners. The subsidy applications were temporarily halted due to the delay in approving the 2025 budget, a consequence of the government's collapse in December of last year. Following their resumption, there was a surge in applications. Finance Minister Eric Lombard cited tens of thousands of fraudulent applications as one of the reasons behind the program's suspension.
