Raspberry Pi has officially announced that it has raised prices for some of its 16GB memory variants due to the memory shortage and rising costs: the Raspberry Pi 5 16GB is now $80 more expensive at $385, and the Compute Module 5 16GB has gone up by $40. This round of increases does not affect the entire lineup, and the 16GB version of the Pi 500+ remains at its original price. The company said there is a lack of alternative supply sources for 16GB DRAM, which, combined with shortages of other components, forced the price adjustment, and that the current memory tightness is temporary.
