In recent years, China's robotics sector has experienced a remarkable boom, particularly within the surgical robot domain, which has successfully broken the long-standing monopoly held by foreign brands and entered a phase of rapid expansion. Projections indicate that the market size for surgical robots in China is set to surge from RMB 22.45 billion in 2026 to RMB 70.85 billion by 2030, boasting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 33.3%.
Alongside achieving import substitution within the domestic market, Chinese-made surgical robots are also stepping up their efforts to venture into the global arena. During the first eight months of this year, the nation has witnessed a substantial surge in surgical robot exports, with Guangdong province alone seeing its exports quadruple on a year-on-year basis.
