The Chinese display panel giant, TCL CSOT, is strategically positioning itself to dominate the next-generation gaming monitor market. According to its newly unveiled technology roadmap, the company is gearing up to introduce OLED display panels boasting a staggering refresh rate of up to 700Hz by 2028. These cutting-edge panels are specifically designed for the 32-inch and 34-inch large-size monitor segments, aiming to redefine the boundaries of monitor refresh rates and offer gamers an unprecedented visual experience. Previously, TCL CSOT's G5.5 fabrication facility commenced shipments in the third quarter of 2026, with the inaugural batch of 27-inch 4K 120Hz printed OLED panels being supplied to MSI for use in their commercial creative displays. As production capacity ramps up and supply chains mature, prices for mainstream 27-inch 240Hz OLED gaming monitors have plummeted by over 40% this year. The average price of high-end OLED displays has now dropped to $350 and is projected to edge closer to $300 by 2027, making high-performance gaming monitors more accessible to a broader audience.
