Propelled by the combined forces of policy directives and capital influx, the brain-computer interface (BCI) sector is poised for unprecedented growth. Recently, the National Health Commission and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly unveiled the Implementation Plan for the Expansion and Enhancement of Medical Rehabilitation and Nursing Services. This plan explicitly calls for the expedited integration of cutting-edge technologies, such as brain-computer interfaces and embodied intelligence, into pivotal domains like neurological and sports rehabilitation. Concurrently, it advocates for breakthroughs in key technologies for intelligent rehabilitation equipment and implantable devices. Moreover, since September, a number of BCI firms have successfully raised funds, significantly invigorating investor sentiment in the primary market. He Jiyong, Director of the Yanki Space Intelligence and Livelihood Research Center, remarked that the synergistic push from policies and capital will expedite the commercialization and industrialization of BCI technologies, heralding a new era of development for China's BCI industry chain.
