On September 16, during its 10th-anniversary celebration, Alibaba Health Pharmacy unveiled a strategic transformation. Over the next three years, it will pivot from a mere "online medicine purchasing" platform to a provider of "on-hand medicine" services, setting an ambitious business scale target of 50 billion yuan. In terms of collaborations, Alibaba Health has established a "comprehensive pharmaceutical" strategic partnership with Sansheng Mandi, Daren Pharmaceutical, Daiichi Sankyo (China), and Organon. These alliances are set to enhance the platform's pharmaceutical offerings and service capabilities. Regarding payment solutions, the platform has introduced a commercial insurance product for medicine reimbursement, named 'Guan Ai Bao.' This product covers a wide range of over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription medications. The reimbursement rate for drugs on the preferred list can reach as high as 80%, while for original drugs, it stands at 40%. Moreover, the cumulative maximum reimbursement amount is capped at 3 million yuan, providing substantial financial relief to patients.
