China Mobile has recently made a groundbreaking move by open-sourcing Open-RAIL, the industry's inaugural general-purpose engineering framework, to the global developer community. This innovative framework facilitates a seamless integration between VLA/WAM models and robotic systems. Through the establishment of standardized interfaces, Open-RAIL effectively tackles compatibility challenges among robots of diverse brands and models. It harmonizes processes such as model inference and real-world execution into a cohesive closed-loop system. The framework boasts substantial benefits in terms of hardware compatibility, model integration, motion control precision, and data acquisition capabilities. Moreover, it supports a versatile deployment architecture that caters to edge, cloud, and end-user devices, ensuring compatibility with a wide array of equipment.

Presently, the entire codebase of the project has been made publicly available, complemented by comprehensive development documentation, illustrative sample code, and a dedicated developer communication platform.
