Recently, Trip.com has rolled out Virgin Galactic's 2027 space travel offering, with each ticket priced at a hefty 5.1 million yuan. This marks it as the most premium space tourism option currently accessible through public channels in China, and notably, 681 tickets have already been purchased. The entire journey spans six days and commences in Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA. Travelers are responsible for arranging their own travel to the United States, including covering all visa, airfare, and insurance expenses. The initial four days will be devoted to space travel training, culminating in the official launch on the fifth day. Virgin Galactic's previous-generation spacecraft, the VSS Unity, was retired in June 2024, and the new-generation Delta-class spacecraft is anticipated to recommence commercial flights in February 2027.
