On September 15, the "China Railway 1662" super-large-diameter slurry balance shield tunneling machine, jointly developed by China Railway Tunnel Group, China Railway No.4 Engineering Group, and China Railway Engineering Equipment Group, officially rolled off the production line in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. With an excavation diameter of 16.68 meters, a total length of 125 meters, and a weight of approximately 4,800 tons, this shield tunneling machine represents the largest diameter model independently developed in China to date.
