According to a research report issued by CITIC Securities, the gas turbine industry is poised to enter a new phase of growth. Notably, small and medium-sized gas turbines are witnessing a swifter surge in demand, attributed to their agile deployment capabilities and abbreviated construction timelines. From a supply perspective, overseas Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are confronted with protracted expansion cycles, resulting in a prolonged scarcity of gas turbines. This scarcity is further compounded by capacity limitations on critical components, which are reverberating up the supply chain. The anticipated widening of the overseas supply-demand disparity, coupled with constraints on the availability of aero-derived gas turbine cores, is projected to redirect demand towards domestic full-machine and component supply chains. Concurrently, upstream materials, such as high-temperature alloys, are also poised to capitalize on emerging development prospects.
