On September 9, 2026, Doubao Work announced the launch of three new features: Local Office Editing, Browser Recording and Playback, and Seamless Task Execution Environment Switching. The Local Office Editing feature supports synchronous editing of PPT and Excel files, allowing users to modify and save files directly within Doubao, with changes synchronized both online and locally. Word editing capabilities will be added later. The Browser Recording and Playback feature enables users to record browser operations, which Doubao Work can then playback and execute, automating repetitive web-based tasks. The Seamless Task Execution Environment Switching feature allows users to switch between local and cloud computer execution environments during task execution without starting a new conversation, preventing context loss due to environment changes and ensuring cross-device task continuity.
