UBTECH Robotics has forged a strategic partnership with Medicalsystem to launch China’s first bionic medical robot—the Youmai Robot Wellness Edition. Building on the hardware foundation of UBTECH’s globally acclaimed, Asia-Pacific Medical Innovation Prize-winning innovation—the world’s first life-sized bionic companion robot, U1—this new robot integrates Medicalsystem’s advanced medical expertise. Designed to emulate a nurse’s appearance, it is ideally suited for elderly care and medical wellness environments. The robot boasts four core functions: emotional support, medical assistance, wellness environment enhancement, and safety monitoring. With fully independent hardware development, the robot has entered mass production. However, bionic medical robots are still in their nascent stages of deployment, primarily serving as care aids rather than replacing human healthcare professionals. This collaboration signifies a significant step toward integrating humanoid robots into real-world medical and elderly care settings.
