On August 28, TCL Zhonghuan convened its 2026 semi-annual investor exchange session. TCL's founder and chairman, Li Dongsheng, addressed the challenges confronting the photovoltaic industry as well as the operational predicament of the company. He remarked that the industry had reached its nadir and was now undergoing an expedited process of capacity reduction. He reflected on the operational crisis TCL Zhonghuan encountered in 2024, noting that it was a result of both external factors—such as the simultaneous release of industry capacity and the worsening of supply-demand dynamics—and internal issues, including the company's undiversified business structure, low organizational efficiency, operational miscalculations, and insufficient globalization capabilities. In August 2024, Li Dongsheng took on the role of acting CEO and initiated organizational and business reforms to propel integrated and global strategies. In the first half of 2026, TCL Zhonghuan reported a revenue of 14.31 billion yuan, marking a 6.8% year-on-year increase; its net profit attributable to shareholders stood at -3.20 billion yuan, showing a 24.5% year-on-year improvement. The company aims to attain a production capacity ratio of 4:1:2 for silicon wafers, batteries, and modules by 2027, while also stepping up its expansion into overseas markets.
