On August 25 (local time), SpaceX announced that it will invest $100 billion to construct a new launch site in the coastal wetlands of southern Louisiana, USA, to support thousands of Starship flight missions annually. Construction of the launch site is expected to begin next year and will create over 3,000 jobs. According to a statement from the Louisiana Economic Development authority, once fully completed, the project will include five launch complexes, each equipped with two launch pads and a propellant storage facility. Additionally, it will feature propellant production facilities, power plants, spacecraft processing facilities, as well as residential areas for employees and their families.
