On August 23, 2026, during the 2026 World Robot Conference, the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) unveiled its self-developed Centaur heavy-duty intelligent robot, named "Xiaocheng", to the public for the first time. This innovative robot features a wheeled-legged chassis combined with humanoid dual-arm dexterous hands, making it primarily suitable for emergency rescue missions and operations in high-risk environments. Equipped with LiDAR technology and a suite of advanced sensors, "Xiaocheng" is capable of achieving speeds up to nearly 20 kilometers per hour, climbing stairs, and performing cross-floor autonomous navigation to effectively execute search and rescue tasks. Furthermore, there are plans for "Xiaocheng" to extend its capabilities to space operations in the future.
