At the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC), themed “Human-Machine Symbiosis: Bridging Production and Demand,” the event emphasized the integration of production and demand as its central theme for the first time, alongside the introduction of a dedicated procurement day. As a global strategic partner, JD.com showcased its ambitious robotics strategy, spanning three core pillars: supply chain optimization, service enhancement, and technological innovation. The initiative includes a RMB 10 billion investment over the next two years to establish 80 robotics hubs, construct a global after-sales network spanning over 100 countries, and gather 10 million hours of real-world operational data. In supply chain management, JD.com capitalizes on its retail expertise by forging partnerships with more than 200 robotics brands and key component suppliers, co-developing standardized battery solutions to streamline industry efficiency. For service excellence, the company has launched eight domestic maintenance centers, introduced the “120” service standard (1-hour response, 2-hour onsite support, 0-delay resolution) and the “Robot Ambulance” rapid-response service, while expanding its JoyRobocare brand internationally to ensure global customer support. Technologically, JD.com has democratized access to cutting-edge innovations, including its proprietary JoyAI large model, which has been adopted by multiple industry-leading brands. The conference drew over 300 top-tier enterprises and featured the inaugural World Humanoid Robot Olympics, signaling a critical inflection point as the robotics sector shifts from technological experimentation to scalable commercialization.
