The personalized mRNA therapy intismeran, jointly developed by Moderna and Merck, has achieved its primary objective in a Phase III clinical trial for melanoma, becoming the world's first personalized neoantigen therapy to yield positive results in a Phase III study. Detailed data will be presented at an upcoming medical conference. This therapy works by analyzing a patient's tumor tissue to identify neoantigens present exclusively on the surface of cancer cells. These abnormal proteins serve as key targets for the immune system to recognize and attack the tumor.
