On August 21, reporters from China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced that China's independently developed new-generation deepwater multi-functional offshore engineering vessel, named 'Hai Yang Shi You 292', has been successfully completed and delivered in Jiangsu Province. This impressive vessel boasts an overall length of 126 meters and a beam of 28 meters, with a displacement exceeding 17,600 tons. It features an advanced, fully electric azimuth thruster propulsion system and a DP2 dynamic positioning system, allowing it to operate in any sea area across the globe. The vessel is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a 400-ton crane and a 3000-ton cable reel, enabling it to perform a wide range of operational tasks in deepwater offshore engineering development, construction, and maintenance. This vessel provides vital equipment support for the exploration and utilization of deep-sea energy resources.
