On August 20th, it was reported that JD Logistics had recently arranged for its first cohort of frontline staff—comprising delivery personnel, warehouse workers, and quality inspectors—to undergo training as robot maintenance engineers at the Zhuozhou Technical Certification Training Center. Those who successfully completed the training and obtained certification have now officially transitioned into their new roles. Previously, JD.com initiated the "Phoenix Project" and forged agreements with more than 120 educational institutions to offer its employees training in the operation and maintenance of intelligent equipment, robot maintenance, and other relevant areas. Over the next five years, JD.com aims to establish a global after-sales maintenance network for robots that spans over 100 countries and to create over 100,000 jobs in related fields.
